Self-Supported PCD Blank

Polycrystalline diamond blank is a product carefully developed by our company using advanced high temperature and high pressure technology.

Brief Introduction

PCD is made by sintering micron-level diamond particles and binder under high temperature and high pressure conditions. It has the advantages of high hardness, good wear resistance, and strong impact resistance. The die has the advantages of uniform wear and long life during use. High speed drawing.
According to the different binders, PCD blank can be divided into cobalt-based and silicon-based. The cobalt-based PCD blank contains a metal binder and has good machinability. It can be processed by electric spark, laser, ultrasonic and other processes. However, the presence of metal cobalt makes diamond easy to graphitize at high temperatures, so this type of core Suitable for processing and use under the condition of less than 650 ℃. Silicon-based PCD blanks have relatively poor machinability, but there is no metal binder in the material, so the material can still maintain good thermal stability at 1000℃.
The polycrystalline diamond core and the cemented carbide support ring are tightly sintered into one, and the cemented carbide support series products can bear greater pulling force. They are mostly used to manufacture large-aperture mold blanks and draw wires with thicker diameters.
With the action of catalyst(silicon), the diamond micro-powder is used to combine the diamond microcrystalline particles with high diamond bond to form polycrystalline diamond.
It has the highest wear resistance and hardness, and better heat resistance, which is suitable for the control of non-ferrous metals(copper, aluminum, nickel, etc.),stainless steel and various kinds of alloy wire.
